Tim Coleman
Owner, Chief Engineer

Tim has over fourteen years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to founding RED74 in 2009, he was the head of IT field support and service at a long-established computer support company based in Princeton, NJ. In his position there, Tim oversaw all technical operations for both client networks and those of the company infrastructure. He was responsible for the management of IT outsourcing, as well as for the coordination of large deployments for new installations and major upgrades. He has extensive knowledge in many areas, including Microsoft networking and server technologies, Cisco IP phones (VoIP), routers, switches and firewalls, as well as managed services, hosting and colocation, on-site and remote support. He has earned the Cisco Small Business Specialization certifications as both an Engineer and Account Manager, as well as several Microsoft certifications.
 In addition to his information technology experience, Tim studied Journalism and Music Composition at Rutgers University in New Brunswick and New York University. He is also a musician and recording engineer (running Apple Logic and Pro Tools on his home studio’s Mac) and martial arts instructor.

 

Robin Normart
Lead Engineer

Rob is a sixteen-year veteran of the IT services industry. Before joining the RED74 team, he worked for a local ISP/IT solutions firm in Princeton, NJ. While there, he gained a great deal of experience supporting the computer networks of small businesses representing a wide range of industries. Rob frequently took the lead on large projects for his clients including server/application migrations, VoIP installations, and planning and implementing detailed disaster recovery plans. He was also responsible for new installations, monitoring and maintenance at a dedicated hosting and colocation facility in West Windsor. Rob’s technology expertise covers a broad range of Microsoft and Cisco small and medium business products, as well major hosted service platforms and protocols (such as mail/web hosting, FTP, DNS and BGP). Rob received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of New Jersey in Ewing with minors in Chemistry and Criminal Justice. He worked as a Research Associate in a cancer research laboratory before deciding that IT support was his true calling. Currently, he resides in Hunterdon County with his wife and daughter. When not at work, Rob enjoys dabbling in amateur photography and tackling renovation projects around his home.
